Do customers come from out of state?
Absolutely — a significant portion of our customers travel from New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut to buy from us. We regularly serve buyers from Rockland County, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, the Lehigh Valley, the Poconos, and Fairfield County CT. Our pricing, selection, and no-pressure approach make the trip worthwhile.
How long have you been in business?
Roxbury Trailers has been selling trailers at our Wharton NJ location for nearly 20 years. We grew out of Roxbury Auto Wreckers, a family business that has been operating since 1969. We are a family-owned independent trailer dealership with deep roots in the Morris County community.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is necessary — walk-ins are always welcome. If you want to give us a heads up on when you are coming in we will make sure someone is ready for you.
What brands do you carry?
We carry a wide selection of top trailer brands including Sure-Trac, Haulmark, H&H Trailers, ITI Cargo, Alcom, Novae, and E-Z Hauler among others. Our inventory changes regularly so contact us or check our website for current availability.
What types of trailers do you sell?
We carry cargo and enclosed trailers, utility trailers, dump trailers, equipment trailers, car haulers, deck over trailers, and specialty trailers. We also carry a selection of aluminum trailers. If you are looking for something specific give us a call or text and we will let you know what we have in stock.
Do you sell used trailers?
Yes — we do sell used trailers, primarily units we have taken in on trade. One thing worth knowing is that trailers hold their value extremely well, which means used trailer prices are often closer to new than people expect. Because we sell our new trailers at such competitive prices, our used inventory tends to move very quickly and we typically do not carry a large used inventory at any given time. For many buyers, a new trailer from Roxbury ends up being the smarter choice once they see the numbers side by side.
Why buy from Roxbury Trailers instead of a big box store or online?
When you buy from Roxbury you are working with a family-owned dealership that has been doing this for nearly 20 years. We have an on-site service department, real financing options, a 4.9 star Google rating with nearly 400 reviews, and no-pressure sales. You are not buying from a warehouse or a website — you are buying from people who know trailers and stand behind what they sell. If something goes wrong after the sale we are right here.
Pricing & Negotiation
Are your prices negotiable?
We price our trailers fairly and competitively from the start — no games, no inflated prices built for negotiation. What you see is our best price. We take pride in offering competitive pricing without the back and forth. That said, we are always happy to discuss options based on your situation.
Do you price match?
We will absolutely look at a competitor's price. We are confident in our pricing but if you find a legitimate comparable unit at a lower price we will do our best to work with you. Just bring us the details.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We do not charge documentation fees, dealer prep fees, or other junk fees. The price you see is the price you pay plus applicable sales tax.
Do prices include tax?
No — like all retailers, our advertised prices do not include sales tax. New Jersey sales tax of 6.625% applies if your trailer is being titled and registered in New Jersey. If you are registering out of state, different tax rules may apply — ask us for details.
Financing
Do you offer financing?
Yes — we work with multiple lenders and can accommodate a wide range of credit situations. From prime to non-prime, we have options for most buyers including those with less-than-perfect credit.
What lenders do you work with?
We work with Sheffield Financial, Rock Solid Financing, ClickLease, and other lending partners. Different lenders have different programs so we shop your application to find the best fit for your situation.
How do I apply for financing?
You can apply directly on our website at roxburytrailers.com. The application takes just a few minutes. Once we receive it someone from our team will reach out personally to walk you through your options.
Will applying affect my credit score?
Submitting a finance application may result in a hard inquiry on your credit report which may affect your credit score. By submitting an application you are authorizing Roxbury Trailers and its lending partners to obtain your credit information for the purpose of evaluating your application.
What credit score do I need to get approved?
It depends on the lender and the loan amount. Our primary lender works best with scores of 675 and above, but we have non-prime lender options for buyers with lower scores. The best way to find out is to submit an application — we will tell you exactly what you qualify for.
Can I get financed with an ITIN number?
Yes — in many cases we can get financing approved using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). We work with lenders who accommodate ITIN borrowers. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Can I get financed with bad credit?
We work with lenders that specialize in non-prime financing and can often find options for buyers with challenged credit. Terms may be different than prime financing but we will find the best available option for your situation.
Can I put a custom order on financing?
Yes — if you are ordering a custom unit we recommend getting pre-approved for financing before placing the order so there are no surprises when the unit arrives. A deposit is required to place any custom order.
Payment Policy
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept debit cards (no fee), credit cards (3% processing fee on transactions over ,000), ACH/bank transfer (no fee, must clear before pickup), bank checks and cashier's checks (preferred, same-day release after verification), and cash.
Why is there a credit card fee?
Credit card processing fees are a real cost for any business. Rather than build that cost into our prices for everyone, we pass it only to customers who choose to pay by credit card on larger transactions. Customers paying by debit, bank transfer, or bank check pay no fee.
Can I pay with a personal check?
We accept personal and business checks with a valid government-issued photo ID. The unit is released same day but the title is held and mailed once the check clears (typically 3-5 business days). Established accounts and repeat customers may be handled at management discretion.
When do I get my title?
For credit card, debit, and bank check/cashier's check payments the title is typically released same day after payment is confirmed. For ACH/bank transfers the title is mailed once payment clears (1-2 business days). For personal checks the title is mailed once the check clears (3-5 business days).
Trade-Ins
Do you accept trade-ins?
Yes — we do consider trades. To give you a preliminary estimate we will need photos from all angles, a photo of the VIN sticker, and the year, make, model, and condition. Any number discussed prior to inspection is a preliminary estimate and is subject to physical inspection when you bring the unit in.
What trailers do you take in trade?
We consider most trailer types. Age, condition, and marketability all factor into what we can offer. Older units or trailers with significant damage may require an in-person inspection before we can provide a value.
How do I get a trade-in value?
Text or email us photos from all angles plus the VIN sticker information and we will give you a preliminary number. For the final value we need to see the trailer in person. There is no obligation and no pressure.
Service & Repairs
Do you have a service department?
Yes — we have an on-site service department at our Wharton NJ location that handles trailer repairs and maintenance. From brake work and lighting to structural repairs and full rebuilds, our technicians handle a wide range of trailer service needs.
What types of trailer repairs do you do?
We handle brake service, wheel bearing service, lighting and electrical, coupler and hitch repairs, floor replacement, skin and panel replacement, structural and frame repairs, ramp and door repairs, and general maintenance. If you are not sure whether we can handle your specific issue give us a call.
Do you work on trailers you did not sell?
Yes — we service all makes and models of trailers regardless of where the trailer was purchased.
How much does service cost?
Labor is billed at our shop rate and parts are charged at cost plus markup. We provide estimates before starting work and will contact you for approval if additional repairs are discovered. A 3% credit card processing fee applies to all service invoices paid by credit card.
Is there a storage fee if I leave my trailer after service is complete?
Yes — trailers not picked up within 3 business days of completion notification are subject to a $35 per day storage fee. We will notify you when your trailer is ready.
Do you offer warranty on repairs?
Labor is warranted for 14 days. Parts are covered by manufacturer warranty where applicable. Warranty is void if the trailer is modified, overloaded, or abused after service.
Custom Orders
Can I order a custom trailer?
Yes — we can order trailers to your specifications through our manufacturer relationships. Custom orders require a deposit and have a lead time depending on the manufacturer. Contact us with your specifications and we will get you a quote.
How long does a custom order take?
Lead times vary by manufacturer and specifications. We will give you an estimated delivery timeframe when we place the order and keep you updated as it progresses.
Is the deposit on a custom order refundable?
Custom order deposits are non-refundable. Because the trailer is built to your specifications it may be difficult to sell to another buyer if you cancel. We are transparent about this upfront before you commit to anything.
Pickup & Delivery
Do you deliver trailers?
Contact us to discuss delivery options. Availability and pricing depend on distance and logistics. Most customers pick up at our Wharton NJ location.
Can I pick up same day?
In most cases yes — if the unit is in stock and payment is confirmed we can typically get you out the door same day. Call ahead to make sure everything is ready for you.
What do I need to bring to pick up my trailer?
A valid government-issued photo ID, your payment method, and if financing, any documents your lender requires. If you are registering the trailer in another state let us know in advance as documentation requirements vary by state.
Do I need a special license to tow a trailer in New Jersey?
In most cases no — a standard NJ driver's license covers towing for personal use. Requirements may vary based on the trailer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and your vehicle. We recommend checking with NJ MVC or your local DMV for specific requirements.

How are your Google reviews?
